Alex was born in Johnstone Renfrewshire, a small town on the west coast of Scotland, Alex went to the local high school and gained a couple of qualifications, which he needed to become a trainee film cameraman at Tyne Tees television, but he did not go and spent his time after school working on the Local Talking Newspaper for the blind which he founded back in 1982 and is still going strong today Renfrewshire Sound. Alex moved to Banbury in the winter of 1992 and has been a big part of getting Banbury a Community radio station, as he feels that a full commercial station would not work in the town. 2003 Impactlive was granted a trial licence on FM for the month of June and Alex was the main contact and set up all the station. Today you'll find him in his Computer Repair Workshop in South Bar, where he also looks after the station during the day.
