Banbury Internet Radio was born last year by a few local people who felt that the local radio scene was not in their catchment and also the music which commercial radio played was not to their taste and decided to form BIR which plays a wide range of music, in fact music that is not on any commerical radio stations playlist.

BIR is part of the group who wanted Banbury to gain a Community radio service instead of a commercial one, but the lack of funding made it not practical to proceed with the application.

BIR is a station that will welcome anyone from the local area, terms do apply so its worth checking first before contacting us, but we will never close the door on idea to produce and present a programme try going to your local commercial station with a programme idea! once you have had the door slamed in your face then contact us.
